Taking a look back at statewide races in North Carolina, according to NBC News, Democrat Elaine Marshall wins the race for Secretary of State, Democrat Rachel Hunt wins the Lieutenant Governor’s race, and Democrat Maurice (Mo) Green wins the race for Superintendent of Public Instruction. The state Supreme Court race between Republican Jefferson Griffin and incumbent Democrat Allison Riggs remains too close to call.

As it stands right now, AP News has called Vermont for Vice President Kamala Harris and Indiana and Kentucky for former President Donald Trump. This makes it three electoral votes for Harris and nineteen for Trump in the race to the 270 needed to win.
The senate is currently sitting at 39 Republican seats and 29 Democratic seats, with 50 seats needed for the majority.
The U.S. House of Representatives currently sits at five Democratic seats and seven Republican seats with 218 needed for the majority.
