The NC State Wolfpack clinched two out of the twelve first-round picks on April 14.
Saniya Rivers was selected as the eighth overall pick in the draft and will play for the Connecticut Sun.
Aziaha James was selected as the twelfth overall pick and will play for the Dallas Wings. She will no longer play with her “twin”, Saniya Rivers, but will play alongside Paige Bueckers, the first overall pick.
Rivers and James are the only two players from the same team who were picked in the draft’s first round.
Madison Hayes was not drafted, but there is a possibility that she will get picked up as a free agent during the next few weeks before the season starts.
